A Kindergarten Smorgasboard of Randomness!

Happy Snow Day!  Yes people, we finally got a snow day!  It worked out well because the appraisal for our house was today!  That meant I had to take Butters (The CEO of The Kindergarten Smorgasboard) out and about this morning!

Today I am linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for Five For Friday!  Five random things from the week should be easy since I live in my own special and random world!

What's better than a snow day trip to Target?!  And yes, they have GLITTER crayons!  GLITTER CRAYONS people!  I had to get them!  Duh.  I also found erasers in the shape of fast food erasers!!  I can't wait to use these with the monsters!

Here is Butters, The CEO of The Kindergarten Smorgasboard!    He's dressed and ready for a day out with his DaDa!

This is what a snow day looks like in Music City USA!  True story.  It takes just a little of the white stuff for a day off.  Actually, the roads were icy earlier this morning, so this is a bit deceiving!

My collection of Scentos!

I found this at Target today.   Um.  Best.  Birthday. Card. Ever.    There is just something about underwear with google eyes that says "make me sing!"

I am also linking up with Teaching Blog Addict for a Friday Freebie!

I made these today to use with my monsters as we build out sight word knowledge (not that I teach sight words!  No.  Sight words bad.)  My kids love the song, Gangnam Style, so I figured they would love these sight word cards.  There are 220 sight words included!

Speaking of creations, my monsters finally discovered the secret that Mr. Greg makes the stuff we use in our classroom.  One of the monsters saw my copyright on the bottom of the recording sheet we were using for A Wintry Mix of Measurement and said "Mr. Greg!  It's you!"  I explained that I made the stuff we were using and they were beside themselves with joy.  I am pretty sure I'm even more of a rock star to them now!

Anyways, here is your freebie!  Click on the picture and visit the freebies page!

And don't forget about the Super Sunday Sale in my Teachers Pay Teachers shop!  You can save 20% off all of my common core creations!  And with the code SUPER you can save an extra 10%!   Stock up now!

I'm also having a 20% off  sale in my Teacher's Notebook shop!

  5. Greg,
How did I just now find your blog?!? I had to go back and read some of your past posts. You're a hoot and I won't be missing out on your posts again! My students are going to go CRAZY for your Gangnam style sight word cards! They randomly break into the dance when they're excited about something. So, thanks so much for your freebie!
    Happy Friday!

  8. No snow day for us... here in MT the snow has to be 5+feet before they close! I have a target question for you: I, too, purchased the "silicone" heart ice cube trays. Have you tried yours in the oven? I was hoping to melt some crayons in them but I'm not sure if they are real silicone. Just thought I would ask...what is your creative use?
