Greetings! Today I took the daycare kids to the local art museum. Can you believe I have never been to this great place?! There was a great exhibit about quilts and recycled collage arts. The kids loved it and so did I. That field trip inspired today’s tonight’s blog.
One of my favorite things to do with my kinder monsters is art. We do an art project 3 or 4 days a week. The projects are tied to a book we’ve read, a theme or topic we’re studying, or just something that is super fun!! We do so much art that we tend to take over the halls, stairs and the library with our art work! And we get MESSY! I even send home a special letter to parents at the beginning of the year to warn them about the messy nature of Mr. Smedley’s class. It’s kindergarten and we’re not learning if we ain’t gettin messy! Just sayin.
